Camp Basics
When is camp?
St. James Lutheran School, Lincoln Park:August 13th - 17th
Pritzker Elementary, Wicker Park/Bucktown: August 20 - 24th
Camp meets daily from 9am - 3pm Monday - Thursday and from 9am - 7:30pm on Friday (public performance at 6pm)
Who can participate?
Students grades 1-8 (students must have completed kindergarten in order to register, and are eligible through the summer following their 8th grade graduation)
What's the registration fee?
Early bird registration is available through April 30th ($259)
Regular registration is open from May 1 - June 13th ($279)
Late registration begins June 14th ($299)
Do you provide scholarships?
We do! You can learn more about our scholarship program here.
Is extended care available?
Yes, extended care is available from 8am - 9am and from 3pm - 4pm and can be elected during registration ($10 per morning or afternoon session).

What is a day at theatre camp like?
Each day is a little different, but for the most part, mornings are spent learning the scenes, songs, and dances that are part of the play. During this time, students work together with children of a variety of ages to collaborate on the production. Most afternoons, students participate in age-specific workshops in theatre topics like improv, stage combat, storytelling, dance, musical theatre, etc. The specific topics vary each year. On Friday, the students perform for their friends, family, and the public, complete with sets, costumes, props, and music, which have all been professionally designed and built for the students.
How much are tickets to the public performance?
Each student registered receives two tickets for the performance. Additional tickets are available at the door 30 minutes prior to the performance. Additional adult tickets are $10 and student tickets are $5.
What is the camp location like?
Pritzker Elementary School is a wonderful facility, fully-equipped for educating and entertaining families. We will spend the majority of our time in their lovely theatre space. In addition, some of our programming will take place in several small classroom spaces on-site. All areas of Pritzker Elementary School are air conditioned for your camper's comfort. Students may find that having a light-sweater/jacket will benefit them as the space can get quite chilly.
Our Lincoln Park location this year will be St. James Lutheran School. The auditorium used for part of the instructional day at St James is un-air-conditioned. Instructors monitor the activity and well-being of students throughout the entirety of the instructional day giving ample breaks and ensuring students stay well-hydrated. Students safety is our top priority. We do ask parents remember this is a summer activity that is includes a lot of movement and physicality and to help students dress appropriately.
