District 214 Community Education, in partnership with GreatWorks Theatre and Compass Creative Dramatics, offers a brand new series of family plays and a brand new performance camp at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights .

2. FREE 45 minute interactive theatre workshops where students 1st - 6th grade brought to you by Compass Creative Dramatics Teaching Artists prior to each GreatWorks Performance. Join us as we take a high-speed trip through the world of acting that includes fun theatre games to get your bodies revved up and creative wheels turning! Though these workshops are free, we request you RSVP for these workshops here.
Workshops: January 23, March 5th, April 23rd at 10am - immediately preceding the GreatWorks Performances.
3. Spring Break Theatre Performance Camp where the young actors in your life 1st - 12th grade get to bring the story of The Wizard of Oz to life in just 4 days! Students perform alongside two Compass Creative Dramatics Professional Actor/Educators, who teach by example, helping your students shine!

What is the Forestview Family Fun Theatre Festival?
It is a series of live theatre performances, workshops, and camps from January - April 2016 that bring theatre education and fun to the Forest View Educational Center. Who can participate in the festival? Performances are open to the public and are great for the whole family from 3 to 93. Single tickets, family packs, and season festival subscriptions available here! The week-long Spring Break camp that is a part of the festival is for young performers from 1st - 12th grade. For more information about the camp please click here. The free Interactive workshops are intended for students 1st - 6th grade. Parents are welcome to observe the workshops, participate in the activities, or drop their kids off for the duration of the class. When is the Festival?
